Medical Missions: Ghana
Kim , Thank you so much for your contribution to our medical
mission to Techiman Ghana. It was an amazing trip with an amazing group
of people from the International Surgical Mission Support
(ISMS) team from New York. While there we were able to perform the first
laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomy in the history of Ghana. We were
also able to teach the surgeons there how to perform this procedure and
left with them the equipment to do this as well as other laparoscopic
procedures. Meeting and working with the medical staff at the Holy
Family Hospital in Techiman was a wonderful experience. By the end of
our stay we felt as if we were leaving family. You can see the smiles on
the nurses in the photos as they sport their Kimkaps. Thanks again
for your
donation. Thanks also to the nurses at Midtown Surgery Center in
Charlotte NC for donating their old Kimkaps for me to take and hand out
in Techiman as well.
